The Shomrom Tiyul
Our morning began with an inspiring Tefillah at the Kever of Shmuel HaNavi.  Tanach became alive as we passed through the landscape of numerous stories of Tanach.  Standing at Mishkan Shilo was an unforgettable experience. As we went further North into the Shomron, we had an eye opening experience into the world of "Jewish Outposts" as we toured the hilltop of "Chavat Gilaed."  Next Stop was Itamar, where we had the privilege to watch a special anti terror dog training session.  It was fascinating watching the discipline of the dogs, and the potential the dogs have to provide security to a yishuv.  We then moved on to “Givot Olam,” one of the biggest organic farms in Israel, as we enjoyed the yogurt and walked around the beautiful farm.  We then stood by the Fogel's house hy"d and heard an eye witness report of the horrible tragedy that took place on that Friday night, from the Mayor of Itamar, Rav Moshe Goldsmith.  Hearing Rabbi Goldsmith tell over the story was very moving.  On Our last stop in Itamar, together with the Mayor of Itamar we planted new pine trees, that will hopefully grow and add life to the wonderful yishuv of Itamar which has unfortunately experiences a lot of paint in recent times. As the day was winding down we had the opportunity to ascend Har Kabir, and viewed the route in which Am Yisrael came to Shecehm during the days of Yehoshua, and not to mention viewing the Mizbaech of Yeshoshua Ben Nun on top of Har Eval.  At the closing of the day we stood on top of Har Gerizim and viewd into Schem and understanding the whole experience at Har Gerizim and Har Eival with the Leviim in the middl in Shchem. At the yishuv of Har Bracha we had a very special dinner at their boutique winery.  We ended off the day with a visit with HaRav Eliezer Melamed shlita, author of Peninei Halacha, Rosh Yeshiva and Rav of Har Bracha.   We all enjoyed Rav Melamed’s special words and sincere smile, it was a true inspiration. Yad Vashem/Belz/Machon Hamikdash/Kotel Tunnels tour…..from destruction to the rebuilding
On Thursday, March 1, Lev HaTorah took a journey through destruction to a world of re-building.  The day started out at Yad Vashem where the boys received an in depth tour Yad Vashem with the top veteran guides.  Following Yad Vashem, we visited the unbelievable BELZ World Center.  As we watched in awe at the unbelievable magnificent Shul and massive 16 story buidling, we witnessed the rebuilding of a community totally destroyed during the Holocaust.  After Belz. we visited the Machon HaMikdash where they are preparing the vessels for the Third Beit Hamikdash.  We learnt about the Vessels, its sizes, Halchik requirements, and set up of the Third Beit Hamikdash.  We ended off our journey with the famous Kotel Tunnels, touring the full underground wall and getting a better understanding of the make up of the Beit Hamikdash.  Although we returned at a very late hour it was trully amazing seeing the process from Yad Vashem to the Kotel Tunnels. PURIM AT LEV HATORAH!
Baruch Hashem, Purim once again proved to be a very special day in the year at Lev HaTorah. On Wedensday night we had an energetic Chagiga filled with song, dance and great laughs at the shtick and videos that the guys produced. During the day, our boys had the merit of distributing Maanot L'Evionim to needy families in conjunction with Le'maan Achi, it was a very meaningful experience.  After a Mincha which Rav Boaz led in his Kittel and Yom Kippur Niggunim, the boys all went to thier respective Rebbi's home for the seuda.  The Seuda's were very moving and inspiring (and a bit silly too!)

Lev HaTorah's off-Broadway Production at Sanhedria Orphanage in Yerushalayim
Just two days prior to Purim, Lev HaTorah brought its talented ruach to the Sanhedria Orphanage in Jerusalem.  Under the leadership of Josh Greenfield, the guys put on a spectacular play based on the Purim story, which brought laughs and smiles from the Sanhedria children.  It was the perfect way to enter into Purim!!  The play was also performed earlier in the day in the yeshiva itself to over 60 children from the Ramat Shilo community. Shana Bet Trip to Yerushayim's Beit Din, the Begin Center, and Night Seder in Yeshivat Merkaz HaRav
On Thursday March 1, the Shana Bet boys visited the Beit Din of Eretz Chemda in Yerushalayim.  They learnt about how a Beit Din Functions and even got to experience a mock trial at Bei Din, led by Rabbi Mann, and our very own Rav Menachem Copperman, also a Dayan at the Beit Din of Yerushalayim.  The boys sat in Kollel Eretz Chemda (a prestigious Kollel for Dayanut), and had the merit of hearing from Rav Carmel, the Rosh Kollel and Av Beit Din.  Following the Beit Din Expeience, the boys had a inspirational tour of the Begin Center, where the guys gained appretiation for a great Modern leader of the Jewish People, Menachem Begin Z"l.  After a Dinner at Center 1 with Rav Jake, the boys learnt night seder at the famous Merkaz Harav Yeshiva.  Rav Yaakov Shapira shlita, the Rosh Yeshiva, addressed the boys in his office, it was greatly appreciated by the boys.
