Yeshivat Lev HaTorah had the honor of hosting IDF Colonel Bentzi Gruber, for a lecture on “Ethics in the IDF.” The lecture was powerful and informative with actual field videos, explaining and portraying the high ethical standards of the IDF.  Bentzi, a very high ranking Col. In the IDF stood as a true role model for all of us.

A Visit to the Magnificent Belz Center
Enroute to Rabbi Berman's daughters wedding we made a stop at the Belz Shul of Yerushalayim where we received tour of the magnificent Shul.  Every boy was in awe at the beauty and splendor of the Shul.  Our guide, Rav Nacham Chimowitz, explained the little details of the shul and the deep thought that went into building such an awesome shul.  The Belz Shul truly gave us a feeling of the royalty of being Jewish.

Chanuka Tiyul
Our Tiyul began with a unforgettable Shacharit at the re-built Ohel Yitzchak Synogague in the Muslem quarter. The day focused on the Beit Hamikdash, as we walked through the Kotel tunnels, exploring the full length of the "Western Wall." In the second part of the day, we toured the southern wall, concluding our day with Mincha at the "Chulda Gates," the main southern gate of the Har HaBayit. The day gave us a greater appreciation of the Beit Hamikdash which hopefully will leave us with a longing for the re-building of the Beit Hamikdash.

Lev HaTorah “Youth Learning” Program
Thursday, Dec. 24th began our new learning initiative, the "Youth Learning Program". Our Talmidim were paired with children from the community to learn together in "Chavrutot." The Beit Midrash was buzzing with the sounds of learning from old and young, English and Hebrew. Baruch Hashem we are already into the 4th week of this learning program, be"h we hope to continue this unique learning program throughout the year!

Discovery Seminar
On Monday, Jan. 4th we spent the whole day at Aish HaTorah’s Discovery Seminars.  World famous lecturers addressed issues of Emunah and Knowledge of God in the World.  The boys left the day amazed from the different seminars.
