Chanukat Habayit –
B”H a Real Success
Our long awaited Chanukat Habayit was B”H a true success, drawing over 200 people, amongst them students, staff, alumni, and members of the community. We thank all the sponsors of the event. A full detailed article and sponsor page will be featured in our upcoming newsletter.

A Chanukah Filled with Light
Besides from the exciting Chanukat Habayit Chagiga, Chanukah in Yeshiva was very special. The talmidim were all invited to their Ramim houses for dinner on the first 2 nights of Chanuka for a home cooked meal and some great company. On the fifth day of Chanukah we went on the annual parent son tiyul, where many parents and family members joined us for the day. The day included Shacharit with an intense Hallel at the Kotel, a tour of the eastern gates of Har Habayit with Rav Simcha Hochbaum, a tour of Har Hazeitim, and the archeological experience, sifting through the rubble of Har Habayit. We will see soon if we had any significant finds.

Shana Bet Visits Torah Leaders of Our Generation
The Shana bet talmidim on 2 separate trips to Yerushalayim and Bnei Brak, had the zchut of meeting some of the major Torah personalities of our generation. In Yerushalayim they met and heard words from, Rav Nevenzahl shlita (Rav of the Old City), Rav Yaakov Shapira (Rosh Yeshivat Merkaz HaRav), and Rav Zalman Nechemia Goldberg shlita, one of the major poskim of today and the son in law of Rav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach Zt”l. They also had a tour of the magnificent “Belz” shul of Yerushalayim. Rav Nachum Chaimowitz shlita gave them a tour and offered insights into Chassidut and Chasidei Belz. In Bnei Brak, the boys visited the famed Yeshivat Ponovitch and met with Rav Kahanamen, Menahel of the Yeshiva. Following Ponovitch, they met with Rav Moshe Tzuriel, previously mashgiach of Shaalvim and author of many seforim. Our Bnei Brak trip ended with a visit to the Modzhtitz Rebbe, where they heard divrei Hitchazkut. Meeting with such great Torah personality truly motivated the shana bet boys. Latrun and Mitzpe Har-El
As part of our Thursday Torat Chaim Seminars, we visited the Tank Museum in Latrun. We learnt about the history of Latrun from the times of Yehoshua, the Maccabim, until the days of 1948. Gedaliah Goldstein, a Kollel member, gave a tour of the tanks at Latrun. Gedaliah himself served in the Tank division of the IDF, we were all informed and inspired by Gedaliah’s tour. Ammuntion Hill – Sammy Harari’s Tekes
On Thursday, January 29th the Yeshiva went to Nachal Chareidi’s inaugural event on Ammunition Hill. Our very own Sammy Harari (shana bet) was part of the “swearing in” event. All the Lev HaTorah boys proudly cheered and stood in support of Sammy when he received his Tanach and gun. It was a beautiful experience seeing this event, and watching soldiers of the IDF being “sworn in.” Click here to view Photo Gallery.
