Yom Yerushalayim – June 2
Upon the eve of Yom Yerushalayim we began our festivities with a beautiful Tefilla and Mesiba with a quite unique musical guest Moshe Levi. On Yom Yerushalayim itself we had a powerful Shacharit in the neighborhood of Abu Tor at the home of Rav Benny Eisner overlooking Har HaBayit and Ir David. Following Shacharit we had a seudat hodaya and a inspiring sicha by Rav Benny Eisner who served as a IDF commander in the ’67 war. From Rav Benny’s house we walked to Ir David, and explored the beginnings of Yerushalayim culminating with a refreshing walk through Chizkiyahu’s water tunnels. The boys then joined thousands of marchers in the Rikud Degalim which ended with a concert from Chaim Dovid at the Kotel. To view photos click here.

Shavuot in Yeshiva – A true Kabalat HaTorah experience
Although all the Chagim are beautiful in Yeshiva Shavuot is the culmination of a great year of learning and growing. Shavuot night, all the talmidim enjoyed a home cooked meal at the homes of the Rabbeim. The atmosphere in the Bet Midrash was electrifying, with a true Kol Torah (noise of Torah) and shiurim from the various Rebbeim all through the night. Before Shacharit we had our inspiring Kabbalat HaTorah “rikud” (dance) around the Bet Midrash. Shacharit led by Nachman Rosenberg was full of energy despite the long night. Ashreinu!!!!
