The Lander’s Masechet Megilla Blitz and Master 20 Daf in a Week contests

Baruch Hashem, Adar was a month of most intense Torah study at Lev HaTorah. The Yeshiva as a whole truly stepped up the learning before Purim. In particular, we had great nachas from a few guys who worked hard to participate in two remarkable learning programs.

Partaking in the Lander’s Masechet Megilla Blitz contest were Moshe Edelstein, Shlomo Glowitz, Mark Merill, and Akiva Newborn. Akiva Newborn came in third place among all participants from all yeshivot, and was awarded a full set of Shas!! Shlomo Glowitz was also among the high scorers and received a set of Na”ch Mikraot Gedolot! Yashar Koach to all!!!

Another learning program instated during Adar was to learn twenty daf in a week, in addition to learning every night for a week from 10:15 PM – 12:15 AM. Yashar Koach to the Talmidim who endured and mastered 20 daf in a week: Yosef Baker, Moshe Edelstein, Shlomo Glowitz, Naftali Hirschberg, and Sam Weprin. Chazak Chevra!!!
