The awards program, now in its 12th year, is conducted by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). According to the press release issued by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, “Yoni Grossman-Boder is the founder and director of Bears for Life, a group that has raised more than $71,000 over the past five years to purchase an ambulance for an emergency relief organization in Israel. COLLEGE SCENE
Mr. Goodman and Mrs. Prince met with 11th grade parents on Tuesday morning. They discussed the importance of the questionnaire sent to parents in order for Mrs. Prince to write recommendations for each of the students. The discussion also included: the importance of visiting schools during the spring of junior year so that families will get an idea of which schools are best suited for each student; thinking about which teachers to ask for college recommendations; and prioritizing what is important to families when looking for colleges. Thanks to all of the parents who attended and to Ms. Linde for providing the yummy breakfast.
